Gas Masks?

OK I have this M10M Czechoslovakian gas mask and I have herd that it has a shelf life and is obsolete but the place where I got it from “Cheaper than dirt” says it will protect me against all types of gas attacks- I have used it and tried to smell objects with it, stuff like gasoline and superglue and I haven’t smelled the gas or anything when doing it but when I took it off I immediately smelled every thing, so would that work and does it have a shelf life?Gas Masks?
Even expired filters retain some effectiveness against certain threats. I expect yours would still work against tear gas and other fairly large particles but not against most toxic agents. And remember, it never would do anything for you in an environment without sufficient oxygen like a house fire or chlorine gas leak.Gas Masks?

The mask itself may not have a shelf life, but the cartridge that goes to it will. The Navy used to use the MCU-2P for gas masks, the Cartridge un-opened has a 5 year shelf life, after being opened only has about a 8 hour shelf life in the conditions designed for. Since you opened the cartidge and used it, you might as well throw it away and try to find a replacement cartridge.
The filters are good for only so long, it's most likely expired by now.
Ok, no filter is any better than any other. The mask itself is only obsolete if it is made of obsolete material. Get what I'm saying?
The filter is what would have the shelf life. It also depends on what size particles it is rated for. I don't know anything about that specific gas mask. Most things will probably be filtered but smaller particles wouldn't. I wouldn't use it in a chemical or biological attack but it should be effective for most things.

For oily skin with pimples - Mix 2 tsp.Fuller's earth with 2 tsp. of chilled rose water. Make it a paste and apply on the face with brush.After 20 minutes rinse with warm water. Do once a week.


Tonic for oily skin - MIx egg white and honey. Beat well and add 1 tsp. lemon juice. Apply the mixture on your face and neck for 10 minutes.


Anti-wrinkle mask - Mix 2 tsp. of oat meal and halfcup of milk. Boil it till it cooks well. Add 2 tsp. of olive iol. Allow it to cool and apply to your face. After 20 minutes and rinse with luke warm water. You can do it once in every other day.Face masks?
No idea about home made masks but if you tend to have oily skin id greatly recommed the peel-off masks. They dry on ur skin and then become like a thin layer of second skin which u take off. Pores are cleaned deep and it makes fun :D
first of all add 1 tsp of chandan powder(sandal wood powder)(glow),


strawberry juice(bleaching agent+scrub+reduces oiliness),


and little bit of fullers earth(multani mitti) mix well apply for 20 min


wash with cold water


then put some moisturizer for oily skin

What gas are you trying to protect yourself from? A general filter cartridge on a gas mask does not mean it has the proper absorbent. I would contact a safety supply outfit and tell them what specific gas you are trying to prevent inhilation of. There are specific filter masks for specific gases, like ammonia, SO2, etc. Getting the wrong filter is the same thing as not having a mask at all. Leave you car windows open when possible, to help 'air out' the car. Yes you can use Febreeze directly on fabric (read the instructions on the can for any warnings).





Also try an air freshener in your car that isn't REAL strong but maybe a stick-up under your seat, or a liquid slow-release air freshener that'll attach to your AC vent (I've gone one so smoker smell doesn't hang in my car).

the febreeze is a great idea and works great (i have a mini spray bottle that stays in the car). But I would take my car back and make them fix it first. They are the ones who messed up (even if they didn't know, they will once you go there and tell them) Talk to the manager and if they wont fix it ask for their DM (district manager) number. If nothing else the febreeze works, just dont sit until it's dry and leave the windows open a little to let air in
Yeah spray ,%26amp; alot of it if it smells that bad lol. That what febreeze is for also great for cars. Just don't spray too close you might have a soggy seat %26amp; also like they said make sure your not allergic to the sent.
Well me being the cheeky one that i am, I would take the bloody thing back to them and tell them to get the stinch out of our new car, and yes try the fabreze, they also make it in an allergy formula,

Yes you can use it for that. or open all the car doors and windows and let the air in. In a safe place of course in case someone decides to steal your car.
Just open the doors and move the car around so the sun shines in for a whole day The odor will lessen. Fabreze tends to be oily and cause dirt to stay in the fabric.
Yes. There is also a Febreze made especially for cars. You can check out AutoZone to find little air fresheners that clip to your air vents.
It is pretty safe on most upholstery just be careful that the 2 chemicals don't mix.
