Is it illegal to walk outside in a balaclava/ski mask?

I live in New York.Is it illegal to walk outside in a balaclava/ski mask?
LOL....too frikin much, you got me rolling on this one!

It depends where you are when you are outside of your home. Like standing next to a bank or entering a US airport.

They say it is hazardous and detrimental to ones health, and if noticed by police or a gun toting citizen, it could also be deadly .

Always use great ';caution'; when wearing your ski mask outside of your home. This public service announcement provided and supported by:

In New York City there actually is a law against wearing a mask in public. However, it is very selectively enforced and you can only get in trouble for it if you're wearing it for the purpose of committing a crime or intimidating people. The NYC police also like to use that law against any demonstrators who wear face-covering costumes even if they're peacefully protesting. Not too long ago, a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan wanted to organize and march through the streets there while wearing their full hoods, but former Mayor Giuliani wouldn't allow them to cover their faces (they ended up getting pelted by the bystanders with rocks and ';D'; size batteries, if you want to know). But if it's cold outside and you're not walking into a bank, I don't think there would be a problem with wearing a ski mask in public.
As far as I know it's not illegal, but if you did it in August people would wonder what you're up to, and probably would keep an eye on what you're doing. Usually only terrorists and bank robbers wear ski masks in the summer.
only if you're a terrorist
No, but there may be a fashion concern here.
